Introduced in 2023, the National Identity Mark aims at evaluating and establishing a general understanding of national identity programs in private schools.

The initiative assesses different aspects of the school's operations across 3 domains. Based on their effectiveness in fostering a strong sense of identity and promoting a shared understanding of UAE culture, schools are categorized into a 4-tiered rating system.

In addition to increasing transparency and accountability, the initiative: 
 

• Provides parents more visibility on the quality of national identity programs and activities in schools.

• Encourages schools to adopt best practices integrating national identity into their curriculum and school culture.
